What this is

gaitherstephens.com is my personal site. It hosts a bio, writing, recipes, and a passcode-protected family section. There is no subscription, no paid product, and no commerce on this domain.

Content ownership

Everything I wrote here is mine. You can quote short passages with attribution under standard fair-use practice. You can link to any page on the site freely. Don't republish whole posts without asking. Don't pass off my writing as your own.

Recipes I've adapted from other cooks are credited where I know the source. If you spot one that should be credited differently, email me and I will fix it.

Family section

The passcode for /family is for family and friends. Don't share it more broadly. If you have the passcode, treat photos and notes you find there as you would treat anything else shared by a family member: not for the wider internet.

Acceptable use

Use this site for any lawful purpose. Don't try to attack it, scrape it aggressively, or embed it in an abusive context. I may add rate limits or block traffic from sources that cause problems.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. I do not warrant that it will always be available, that everything I wrote here is correct, or that recipes will turn out the way they did at my house. Cook at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim arising out of or related to this site is limited to USD $0. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Charlotte County, Florida.

Changes

If I change these terms, I will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top.
